Link’d

Meet new people, face to face, a few at a time.

Live video get-togethers on iPhone, each one run by a host, in small groups.

How a get-together works

An illustration of a get-together: a host and twelve guests. The guests sit at three tables of four, then the tables change. Afterwards, Ann and Ray, who met at a table, have both chosen to stay in touch, and are linked.
  1. A host welcomes everyone.

You join the video room at the start time. Your host says hello and explains how it will run.

  2. Small tables, a few minutes at a time.

Link’d seats you at a video table of three to six. When the round ends, the tables change and you meet new people.

  3. Afterwards, you choose.

Pick the people you’d like to stay in touch with. If they pick you too, a private chat opens between you.

On your iPhone

At the table

Everyone at your table on one screen, and the time left in the round.

Afterwards

The people you met, in one short list. Choose who you’d like to stay in touch with.

Made for grown-ups

Designed first for people 45 and over, and easy for anyone.

Simple.
Large, clear text, plain words, and one obvious next step on every screen.
Unhurried.
Each get-together has a start time and a host who sets the pace. There is no feed to keep up with.
No swiping.
You meet people face to face on video, not as a pile of photos to sort through.
No algorithm choosing for you.
Nobody ranks or scores you. You decide who to stay in touch with, after you’ve met.
Video, in small groups.
Three to six people at a table. Easier than one-on-one, and friendlier than a crowd.

Safety, built in

Link’d is for adults 18 and over, and these protections come with every account.

  • A host runs every get-together

The host can remove anyone from the session, at any time.

  • Report or block without leaving

You can do either from inside the live session. Once you block someone, you are never seated at the same table again.

  • Chats only when it’s mutual

No one can message you unless you both chose to stay in touch.

  • Your city, not your location

Your profile shows the city you type in. Link’d never asks for your exact location.

  • Photos without hidden details

Photos are re-saved when you upload them, so no location or other hidden data comes along. Others see them only after they’re approved.

  • Delete your account in the app

Any time, from inside the app. Your profile and photos go with it.

Coming to the App Store

Link’d is in testing on iPhone now. It will be on the App Store when it’s ready.
