Kitchenry

A kitchen app: what you have, what to cook before it turns, and what to buy.

Paused
Kitchenry on Android: the Kitchen screen, listing what is in the house with an option to add a use-by date.

What it is

Kitchenry keeps track of what is in your kitchen, suggests what to cook with it (ranking whatever is about to turn first), and builds the grocery list. Meals that are unsafe for anyone at your table are never suggested.

How it's built

An iPhone app in SwiftUI, an Android app in Kotlin and a web app in Next.js, on a Node.js and PostgreSQL server with sign-in from our identity platform. It reached testing with a catalogue of over 500 recipes, a weekly planner and a cooking mode, and its core screens work offline.

Where it stands

The iPhone app reached TestFlight, Apple's testing service. The project is paused: its servers are switched off for now, and the code is kept so they can be rebuilt.
